COUNCIL PRESIDENT
President of CIAAD: The Council for International Accreditation of Architecture & Design, and Founding Director of the Innovation & Sustainability Centre at the Canadian University- Dubai, Professor Albert S. Fakhoury has been the Chair and Professor of Architecture & Interior Design at the American University in Dubai between 2010 and 2017. He taught Architecture and Design courses at Notre-Dame among prestigious universities.
In October 2015 he was elected Executive Board Member of IFI (The International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers). Under his leadership several programs achieved academic and professional accreditations such as NAAB, CIDA & NASAD. Albert S. Fakhoury is the Chair of the International Network Committee of IDEC: Interior Design Educators Council since 2015.
He figures regularly at the Power List of the best architects and designers awards worldwide. He chaired and served on many International jury panels in recognition to his wide expertise and high academic credentials. Prof. Albert S. Fakhoury is a regular keynote speaker at International venues, conferences, congresses and universities. Additionally, he is a recognized accreditor chairing many International Accreditation panels for the review and accreditation of Architecture and Design Programs.
His outstanding performances were recognized in 2016 where he received the highest of the laureates in Design, the International Design Award (Best Architect and Designer) for 2016. As a leading Architect & recognized Designer, Albert S. Fakhoury contributed to many key and landmark projects in the US, Mexico, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon and Europe ranging from Hospitality to Commercial and Residential but also Urban and Landscaping Design. His high management skills and prime projects in Consultancy & turn-key solutions were recognized by distinguished awards.

Prof. Albert S. Fakhoury is a recognized Stage and Set Designer a field that comprises his passion and that he developed further through his Doctoral studies.
